As Time Goes By...

So I've been really busy lately. Obviously (if you take a look at the date of my last post and this one you will see that quite a bit of time has passed).

Lots has happened. The biggest changes involve my friends....and their fiances. Yup. Fiances. Just about everyone who is anyone is getting married. Or is it that just about everyone who is anyone is NOT getting married???

I'm all for marriage. I think it's a not-so-rare thing that should be taken not-so-lightly. It's holy, and it's beautiful. Truly, those who are married and have the opportunity to get married are crazily blessed. I, for one, cannot wait for the day I get to commit to my perfect someone. But since the trend is getting married for once, I like to think I've become a "hot commodity" of sorts. Single people are an endangered species. Endangered. Yup. I'm an endangered species.

So admist all this endangered species talk....there comes the other thing that time is making fly-by. I'm in my third year of teaching. Whoa. Where did time go? I've been out of highschool for seven years. I graduated from college 2 years ago! I no longer get carded for R-rated movies. I own my own car. I'm a "big girl."

I guess I've just been uber reflective lately...especially on the relativity of time. Good story. Good times.

Here I Come!

I'm SO excited!!!! There is little to nothing that could destroy my week :) I get to see my brother in 15 days! Granted, it will be for only a few hours....but the fact of the matter is that I'm going and there's not one person who could stop me!!!

YAY! I love you Matt!!!

New Year's Resolution

I'm not big on New Year's Resolutions. For the most part, they're just obligatory soon-to-be-forgotten goals made at the start of a new year. What makes those goals so much more special than others? Because it's a fresh start. Usually my "resolutions" are made up of something cynical.

However, cynical isn't going to work for me this year. The year that lies ahead promises that there are difficult and trying times. It warns of change, good and bad. It's the ending of an era. The ending of lots of things. But mostly, it's offering a new beginning, and not just to me, but all those around me.

To Matt...I hope he finds what he is looking for.

To Brenna...I hope you see you the way God sees you.

To Mom & Dad...may our friendship continue to grow.

To Kristin...may you find peace in the present.

To Leah...comfort in your new future.

To all my friends....that you LIVE every moment you are given.

And to myself....I make a new resolution I hope to keep....

To be healthy and happy in this new year that God has given me.
